Program Vision

The goal of the WNYCCP is to transform systems to become more responsive to the interests of consumers, ensure access to high quality services, and promote recovery. Service delivery is based upon an individual service plan developed in partnership with consumers and their families."

Program Goals


The specific goals of the WNYCCP are:

  • A change in the culture of the mental health system based on the principles of person-centered planning and recovery.
  • Empowerment through individual service planning that promotes choice.
  • Coordination of services delivered by multiple providers.
  • A rehabilitation and recovery model of services.
  • Implementation of evidence-based and best practices.
  • Allocation of resources based on individual need.
  • Information systems that provide timely, useful information.
  • Performance measured by outcomes.
